Councillors in Filey are meeting with the town's MP today for further talks about re-establishing a community transport scheme in the resort.
Filey's previous community bus stopped running last year when the commercial operator retired.
Councillor Sam Cross says today's discussions follow a public meeting last month where local people showed how much support there is for a town bus service.
A desire to re-establish a community bus scheme in Filey will be the subject of the discussions between local councillors and the town's MP today.
The Mayor of Filey Town Council - Councillor Jacqui Houlden-Banks, says while they are supportive of the idea, the town council itself doesn't have the ability to run a service or apply for grants, The Mayor says she is pleased that the MP is getting involved.
Councillor Houlden-Banks says the Town Council will be open to hearing from any groups that are established to try and bring back a community bus.
