The fire brigade serving Filey were kept busy on Saturday night from releasing a trapped child to tackling blazing trees.
It was a busy night for fire officers serving the Filey area.
The town's local crew attended and extinguished a fire to a large amount of felled conifer trees, just before 6.30pm on Saturday. They used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
They were then called out two hours later to release a child trapped in a vehicle in Filey. The officers worked with a saw and glass protection equipment, to cut a hole in the windscreen. They could then open the door and safely reunite the child with parents.
The Filey crew then attended a call in nearby Hunmanby following a report of what appeared to be smoke in the open. They carried out a thorough search of the residential area they were directed to and confirmed this to be a false alarm.
