Active Filey is close to launching a new skatepark for the town, according to one of it's chief organisers.
Bryden Simpson says the new facility is just weeks away:
The skatepark has been built by outdoor sport specialists Canvas Spaces Limited.
It will feature low-energy movement-activated floodlighting that switches off at 10pm.
Active Filey has seen huge take-up of it's low-cost sport activities such as cycling and swimming.
Bryden said nearly 5,000 users took part in 2022 with that figure already being reach by July this year.
He offered further details on the facility build and launch:
