Community groups in Filey are coming together today to make sure local residents are aware of help on offer locally.
18 organisations are helping stage a special Community Day at the Evron Centre.
PCSO Natalie Hayes from North Yorkshire Police has helped organise the event.
They are holding an event at the Evron centre from 10am to 4pm to help local residents make contact with support organisations in the town.
Natalie Hayes says the event is open to everyone in the town and will also feature a choir and cakes.
Natalie says there are 18 local groups taking part in the community day event
Natalie says there has been a great team effort to get the event together.
The Filey Community Day is taking place in the Evron Centre Concert Hall from 10am-4pm on Thursday November 23rd 2024 and is free to attend.
Filey Police will be giving the public advice and information on fraud, crime prevention and much more.
Filey Lions will be running a tombola and they will also use their mini bus to collect people from a number of locations in the town.
