Over 150 tractors are descending on the Yorkshire Coast, on Sunday, as part of the fifth year of The Farmer Christmas Tractor Run.
Since its inception in 2021, the event has raised over £42,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and other local charities and was named YAA Community Group of the Year in 2023.
This year’s illuminated convoy will depart from Wilfred Scruton Ltd, travelling through Wold Newton, Hunmanby and concluding at GM Stephenson Ltd.
Rob Scott is from Yorkshire Air Ambulance:
" The support that we needed with the rural area. As the charity gets no government funding at all, we totally rely on the generosity of the people at Yorkshire to keep us in the air and serving lives just a fantastic service. So we have two, two helicopters that are out every day, and fortunately for us, we've been able to buy a third one.
"Which is like a spare lot, like a spare helicopter. So we've now got like a rotating fleet, which means that we're not, we're available 98% of the time now. Whereas when one used to go for service, it could be away for 10 weeks for its annual service. But now we've got the three. We don't have, we're not down to one helicopter now, which is so much better for the people of Yorkshire."

There's a live tracker on the lead vehicle allowing spectators to follow the route in real time.
Rob says the event has brought much-needed funding:
"Up to now, it's raised over £42,000 between for local charities, the Yorkshire Ambulance killing playing fields and other local charities. The tractors will be leaving Wilfred Scruton's at Foxholes at half past three on the Sunday, heading out on the route, which is about 35 miles long. Taking in Foxholes, Hunmanby, Burton Fleming, Wold Newton, Langtoft.
"So yeah, looking like it's going to be another great night. Up to now they've got 150 tractors signed on, and there's still room for a few more. They have been given a few more entries this year by the councils. So yeah, if you want take part, go onto the Farmer Christmas tractor on Facebook page and follow the link on there to get your tractor booked in."
