North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information regarding a collision between a car and a dog, which took place in Sandsend on Wednesday.
The collision is believed to have taken place between 2-2.30pm on a pathway through local woodland and involved a black 4×4 vehicle. The dog very sadly died from the injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified and is currently assisting North Yorkshire Police with their inquiries. However, officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
