The latest figures show that crime remains much lower in North Yorkshire than elsewhere in the country, The county has around 22 crimes per thousand people, the national average being 35.
Assistant Chief Constable - Catherine Clarke - says they have been using data to target responses to crime and says that's part of the reason why the county is performing well across almost all types of crime:-
