The latest data shows the highest infection rate yet for the borough but it is lower than the county and national average.
The latest COVID seven day average infection rate the the Scarborough Borough stands at 1194 per hundred thousand people.
It's the highest it has ever been and has increased dramatically since the middle of December. But the borough's rate remains behind the North Yorkshire Average which is 1415 and the all England average which is 1599.


The borough has 185 new COVID cases a day on average with 1249 cases being diagnosed each day across North Yorkshire and 128,577 across England.
The Selby District has the highest infection rate i the county at present followed by Ryedale and Craven.
