The effect of the staycation summer, the bank holiday and the return to school has had an effect on the number of COVID cases being discovered on the Yorkshire Coast.
Public Health consultant Dr Victoria Turner says there has been a increase in cases over the last few weeks:
Seasonal variations in the demand for health services on the Yorkshire Coast should be factored in to the long term plans for health services in the area.
That's according to county councillors who have expressed concerns about the reduction in hospital services in Scarborough and Bridlington hospitals.
