Whitby Town Councillors have expressed concern about the slow progress in revamping the resorts paddling pool.
The work to restore Whitby's paddling pool is causing concern for local councillors.
The restorations were expected to be complete earlier in the year but work is still ongoing.
Whitby town Councillor - Heather Coughlan - wants clarity on when the pool will be finished.
Money for the project was allocated from the former borough council's project sunshine fund as part of a £865k allocation to deliver a number of projects in the town.
Councillor Linda Wilde said the money was available last year.
At the time the borough council said the Whitby Project Sunshine money would include:
"West cliff paddling pool enhance to provide a more interactive experience"
At a Whitby town Council committee meeting this week Councillor Sandra Turner called for the council to hold urgent talks with North Yorkshire Council,and the contractor.
