This weekend sees the return of the 'Cock O' The North' race which is back at Olivers Mount for the first time since 2017.
The 2-day meet, sees practice and qualifying take place this morning before the race action get's underway this afternoon and all day Sunday.
Andy Hayes, who's Director of Oliver's Mount Racing, says that the last five years have been a struggle for the famous course.
The first race was held at Oliver's Mount in 1946 with over 12,000 spectators attending the first meeting.
Andy Hayes says that there will be a star studied field of riders taking part.
Alongside the racing, there will be trade stalls, food and drink, chat show and live bands playing on the evenings.
U16's can enter for free with a paying adult.
