Part of the cinder track that covers the former railway from Whitby to Scarborough will be closed this week.
A section of the Cinder Track between Scalby and Burniston will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week.
The closures will be in force from 7.30am and 4.30pm each day on the section of track between Lancaster Way, Scalby and the A165 at Burniston.
Works are taking place at the footbridge which carries the Cinder Track over Cow Wath Beck and the works taking place involve exploratory excavations for the design of a replacement footbridge.
The suggested diversion is via Station Road, Field Lane and the A165.
The bridge will be open and made safe for use outside of the specified closure times.
