Changes to Scarborough Bus Routes Kick in on Sunday

East Yorkshire Buses are making big changes to their timetables, in the Scarborough area, this weekend.

Some routes in the North of the town will see a reduction in services, while other areas will see increases.

There will be a new direct route to Scarborough Hospital for Cayton and Eastfield, and a new Sunday service for Cayton.

East Yorkshire Buses director Ben Gilligan explains the reasons for the changes:

Cayton will also have a doubling in frequency of buses, compared to the old Service 1.

Mr Gilligan says passenger numbers are down in the north of the Scarborough area:
