Health Chiefs confirm patient arrangements following changes to General Practice in Bridlington.
Following the recent announcement over changes to Bridlington General Practice that will see three GP practices cease to operate from 31 March 2023, Health Chiefs have confirmed that all patients who are registered with Field House Surgery, Practice One and Wolds View will transfer across to Practice Three, run by Drs Reddy & Nunn.
Dr Priya Reddy, Bridlington Primary Care Network Clinical Director, said:
“I’m extremely pleased to confirm the transfer of all patients over to Practice Three from the three affected practices in Bridlington: Field House Surgery, Practice One and Wolds View.
“We know this has been a very unsettling time for local residents and I’m delighted to put patients minds at rest by confirming which practice they will be transferred to. Having two larger practices in Bridlington will make it easier to share learning, clinical leadership and mentorship and provide opportunities to bring in more new, additional clinical roles to help with the longer term sustainability of primary care in Bridlington.”
These changes will be implemented in a phased way over the coming weeks and patients do not need to do anything now.
Dr Reddy continued:
“Arrangements are now progressing well to ensure everyone is transferred over to Practice Three: Drs Reddy & Nunn safely and securely with minimal disruption to the care and treatment you are currently receiving. Those patients affected by the change of GP practice will be notified before the transfer takes place. We would also ask patients to bear with us and not seek to change GP practice until the changes are embedded.
“We would like to thank all the practices, staff and wider stakeholders for continuing to work collaboratively and supporting patients during this period of change. I’d also like to take this opportunity to personally welcome everyone to Practice Three: Drs Reddy & Nunn.”
The Bridlington Primary Care Network say that Information on transfer dates will be announced as soon as this has been agreed.
