Firefighters are scratching their heads at what caused a fire in a field at Muston, near Filey.
It happened on Friday, just after 6pm, on Muston Road in the town.
Filey and Scarborough fire crews, with assistance from a farmer, extinguished a stubble field fire of approximately 50 square metres.
Beaters, hosereel jets and farmer’s plough – to create a fire break, were employed.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
