Staffing is continuing to be a major problem for care homes in North Yorkshire and that's having a knock-on effect on hospitals in the county.
The sector is finding itself competing for staff with areas like retail as wages increase and facing challenges from new rules around vaccination for staff.

Hospitals in North Yorkshire are seeing an increase in admissions for elderly patients as care homes continue to face staffing issues.
The county's chief nurse, Sue Peckitt, says there are around 170 Covid cases in North Yorkshire's hospitals with most hospital cases being in the over 65's:
