The Yorkshire Coast Motor Neurone Group are on the look out for more volunteers as they aim to offer more support to local people with the disease and help their families and carers.
The group, based in Scarborough and Bridlington, currently has around 20 active members.
It's run entirely by volunteers and has been active for over 10 years.
Paul Johnson, who is involved with the organisation, says that they are always looking for more people to get involved.
Paul Johnson believes that it's important people share their own experiences with each other to find ways of making life easier.
