There's a call for a review of on street parking in Scarborough after 35,000 visitor scratch cards were used over the last year.
Castle Ward Councillor Janet Jefferson is asking the county council to look into the issue which she says means local people are finding it hard to park near their homes.
Castle Ward councillor Janet Jefferson says some Scarborough residents are having to park up to a mile away from their homes in Summer months due to issues with on street parking in the Town.
Janet says 35,000 visitor scratch cards have been used over a 12 month period, Councillor Jefferson wants the county council to hold a review of the rules.
Don Mackenzie is North Yorkshire County Council's Executive member for Access he says it's a challenging situation.
