16,000 more homes in rural areas of North Yorkshire will get high speed broadband access in the next three years.
The roll out of the technology will be part of an ongoing county council programme to ensure rural communities are not left behind.
Councillor Don Mackenzie is the county council's digital champion:
200,000 properties in rural North Yorkshire now have access to high speed broadband, with 16,000 more due to get the service.
