The Bridlington to Scarborough rail line will be closed for a week in February.
Network Rail says that engineering work will be taking place from Saturday February 3rd to Friday February 9th which will close all lines between Beverly and Hunmanby.
They say that all train services will start or terminate at Beverley and buses will replace trains between Beverley and Bridlington / Scarborough.
The work will affect Northern Services on the route which runs from Sheffield, York and Hull to Bridlington and Scarborough.
Network Rail say that a different timetable will operate when the rail replacement services are in use, and journeys may take longer than usual. However, if the replacement services are significantly delayed against that temporary change to the normal timetable, you can claim for delay compensation in the usual way, they say that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.
