A man from Bridlington is fundraising for his best friend's father and his battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
Luke Wilson is running the 100 miles from Sheffield to Bridlington to help fund equipment and treatment for his best friend's Dad.
Luke has described it as the biggest challenge of his life:
" I'm always liking a challenge anyway, and when the news came up about Edgars wanting to figure out a way to help and I thought this would be the best solution.
"Edwards, his son, I've grown up with him and just through Eddie, I've realized what kind of man Edgars is. And yeah, just through that friendship I've found out what kind of father he is.
"The furthest I ran so far is 50K, and that was with Eddie, his son, and surprisingly, I felt all right after that. So it gives me a bit of hope for the hundred, and I'll be joined with a team as well to motivate me and to keep me going on."
The run is on 11th October.
Luke says it's been years in the making after he developed shin splints and had to delay training for a year.
Luke added he'll have lots of support on the day:
" Eddie actually lives in Sheffield right now, and he classes it as his second home. So I thought it'd be perfect to run from Sheffield, and it happened to be a hundred miles as well. So it all worked out fairly conveniently. It's gonna be me and Eddie and two other mates of mine. And then I've had some people message me and saying they'll run sections with me.
"So there's quite a big group of us that's gonna be doing it all together. Obviously I'll have a bike following me and people are gonna be rotating on that bike, so I'll always have someone with me on that bike as well as people running beside me in sections."
Money raised will go towards Edgars' treatment, including equipment to help fight the disease and maintain his quality of life.
