Practice One in the Town says it is not closing and patients can continue to use it's services as normal.
The NHS says steps have been taken to ensure GP services in Bridlington continue to operate after GPs at one of the town's surgeries decided to dissolve their partnership.
The leader of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council - Jonathan Owen - says he's been talking to the NHS about the situation at Practice One.
Patients at Bridlington's Practice One GP Surgery are being reassured that services will continue as normal despite the changes.
Councillor Jonathan Owen, says the NHS have told him that Practice Three will take over the day to operation of the surgery for the next 12 months.
Practice Drs Reddy & Nunn will take over the day to day running of Practice One to ensure there are enough doctors available to see and treat patients and guarantee the continuation of all services. Drs Kumar and Lavery will continue to see patients at the Practice, along with the rest of the team.
Councillor Owen says he's been told a new GP will be joining the practice in June.
All services at both Practices will remain as normal and the practice say that Doctors will continue to treat and see patients as they do now to ensure continuity of care.
The surgery have provided a document outlining the answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
