Access to NHS Dental services in Bridlington looks set to become harder as the towns only NHS practice says it will have just one NHS dentist from June.
myDentist says the move will reduce the number of NHS patients it can see, but says it is working to increase it's capacity.
It comes as local health watchdog, Health Watch East Riding, say dentistry is the one subject they get the most calls about with almost 30% of calls received each quarter relating to dentistry and the lack of access
Carrie Duran from Health Watch says they have managed to get support for some of the most vulnerable patients
East Riding Councillor - David Tucker - says Dentistry is a problem that needs addressing both locally and nationally.
Carrie Duran says that recruiting dentists in parts of the East Riding does seem to be proving difficult.
Bridlington Councillor, Mike Heslop-Mullins, is concerned that the lack of regular check-ups available to Bridlington residents is going to have long term implications.
