Ahmed Salam put Brid in front after 21 minutes in this NPL East clash.
They held the advantage until the break, but Borough forced their way back into the clash with strikes on 55 and 76 minutes.
The defeat leaves Brid ninth in the league and sees Grimsby leapfrog them into 7th spot.
Brid are back in action at Bishop Auckland on Tuesday with a 7.45pm kick-off.
