Brid Off The Mark After Last Gasp Leveller

Bridlington Town have their first point of the new NPL East season after a late strike at the Hudgell Solicitor Stadium.

Adie Costello's men came into Tuesday's clash off the back of back-to-back defeats in the North East.

Bishop Auckland knocked them out of the FA Cup, then Dunston inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Saturday.

It looked like that run would continue when visitors Grimsby Borough raced into a 2-0 lead, after 26 minutes.

However, crucially, Brid hit back quickly, as Jake Martindale made it 2-1, within five minutes.

The hosts then got their reward for a battling second-half display as Glen Sani struck a last-minute equaliser.
