Bridlington Town kicked off the new NPL East season with three points on Saturday.
The Seasiders beat Northumberland outfit Ashington after two quickfire second half Ahmed Salam strikes.
After a goal-less first half, Salam slammed home a screamer from the edge of the penalty area that sped into the bottom corner of the net, on 66 minutes.
With ten minutes, he then expertly worked an opening on goal before curling into the roof of the net.
The victory keeps up Brid's unbeaten start to the season after victory in the FA Cup last week.
Brid go to Ossett United, in the league, on Tuesday, with a 7.45pm start.
