Scarborough Athletic manager Jono Greening is hopeful his latest signing may help the club achieve more clean sheets.
Boro didn't concede on Tuesday night for the first time since November in a game that saw a debut for experienced defender, Ryan Qualter, who has signed on loan from Matlock Town until the end of the season.
Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV it was the right time to bring him in.
The 31 year old has played for Boro before, under the stewardship of Bryan Hughes and Paul Foot, whilst on loan from Bradford Park Avenue.
Qualter has since gone on to play for Shaw Lane, Boston United, Alfreton and Matlock Town, where he served as captain and was key to Matlock having the best defence in the Northern Premier League during 2021/22, conceding just 36 goals in 42 games.
The clubs have agreed that the loan could be made permanent at the end of the season, subject to a fee.
Qualter will be available for today's trip to Kidderminster.
Boro Boss Jono Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV that with the two sides close to each other in the table, it's an important game.
The Seadogs are expected to be at full strength for to match, with the exception of Will Thornton and Dom Tear. Jake Charles is hoping to recover from his illness by the weekend giving Jonathan Greening a selection headache.
Russell Penn's Kidderminster, who sit in 8th place, four points behind Boro, will be hoping to continue their good form after winning three of their last three fixtures, including a 3-1 home victory over Blyth Spartans on Tuesday night.
This will be the Seadogs' first visit to Aggborough, the kick off is at 3pm and if you can't travel to Worcestershire there will be live commentary on This is the Coast Extra
