Scarborough Athletic's play-off dream is over.
Jono Greening's men needed to beat Banbury at The Flamingo Land Stadium or hope Gloucester City failed to defeat Chorley, but neither happened.
Kieran Weledji had put Athletic ahead inside 12 minutes, however Banbury then raced into a 3-1 lead.
But familiar scenes saw Boro score twice in added time. Will Thornton made it 3-2 with a header and a trademark Lewis Maloney free-kick levelled the scores.
Agonisingly, the Seadogs couldn't manage one more, so miss out on goal difference, instead finishing a place outside the play-offs, in 8th.
