Boro Concede 2 Late Goals To Share Points With Promotion Favourites

Scarborough drew 3-3 against full-time promotion favourites Kings Lynn Town at the Flamingo Land Stadium last night.

Almost 2,000 fans watched Scarborough Athletic go toe to toe with full-time Kings Lynn Town last night, a team which beat League Two side Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Boro had a dream start. going 2-0 up early on through goals from Bailey Gooda and Michael Coulson, but were pegged back with a goal from the visitors before half time.

Scarborough came out strong in the 2nd half and Dom Tear scored Boro's third and with 10 minutes to go, Scarborough had a 2-goal cushion, but Kings Lynn always looked a threat going forward and scored 2 goals in 2 minutes to equalise (82 and 83 mins).

It was a case of trying to hold on for the point at the end and in doing so it's a full year without defeat in compettive fixtures at the Flamingo Land Stadium for the Seasiders.

Scarborough's fans have been quick to point out on fans online forums that a year ago the team were struggling in the Northern Premier League, suffering heavy defeats home and away and the progress of the last 12 months has been nothing short of remarkable.

Boro remain 4th in National League North.
