Contrasting results now see Scarborough Athletic and Whitby Town separated by just three points in the NPL Premier.

Boro eased past Basford United 3-0 after goals from Brad Plant, Jake Day and Bailey Gooda.

It takes the Seadogs up to seventh, six points from the NPL Premier play-off places.

Manager Jono Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV hewas delighted:

Whitby Town are one place and three points above their local rivals after a 3-0 defeat to Lancaster City.

The visitors arrived late at the Towbar Express Stadium but it was the Blues who struggled all afternoon.

Joint manager Lee Bullock told Whitby Town TV his side were lucky to only be 1-0 down at half-time, though the away side added two more goals after the interval:

Bridlington Town earned a useful point at Lincoln United in NPL East.

Brett Agnew's men are now four points clear of the relegation zone.

Luis Adlard had broken the deadlock, making his first start for the Seasiders, broke the deadlock on 18 minutes.

Lincoln levelled, only for Flynn McNaughton to put the visitors ahead again, on 33 minutes, but the hosts battled back for a 2-2 draw, after the break.
