Boro 4 Points Away After Latest Win

Scarborough Athletic know that four points from their last two games will guarantee an NPL Premier play-off place, Whitby are still in the race but Brid suffered a big blow on Saturday.

Scarborough Athletic know it's in their own hands to earn an NPL Premier play-off spot after victory over Gainsborough Trinity.

Jono Greening's men earned a 2-0 win thanks to goals either side of half-time from skipper Michael Coulson and youngster Luca Colvile:

Whitby Town are also still in the race but need two of Boro, Warrington and Bamber Bridge to fail, as well as the Blues taking maximum points from their final two games. 

The Seasiders made a lightning fast start to see off Ashton United 2-0 at the Towbar Express Stadium.

On-loan Middlesbrough winger Harry Green struck from the penalty spot, inside four minutes, and ex-Hartlepool United midfielder Lewis Hawkins doubled Town's advantage three minutes later.

Bridlington Town's NPL East status is in jeopardy after a 2-0 loss to relegation rivals Sheffield FC.

Brett Agnew's men have now dropped to second from bottom after Agnew and skipper Pete Davidson were controversially sent off, with a Sheffield player also dismissed.

The South Yorkshire visitors took advantage with two second-half strikes, Agnew explained what happened to Brid Town TV after the game:
