Over 450 were on hand at the Towbar Express Stadium as Whitby edged out NPL Premier rivals Stockton Town.
It was one of the Blues' trialists who netted after good work from Nathan Thomas in the build-up.
Blues boss Nathan Haslam told Whitby Town TV he was happy with the positive end to pre-season:
