North Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for information following a series of incidents involving criminal damage to front doors in Hall Garth, Pickering.
The police reported that multiple properties have been targeted, with suspects repeatedly kicking at the doors, causing significant distress to residents.
The most recent incidents occurred between 4pm on 11 December and 2pm on 12 December, during which two more doors were damaged. This troubling pattern of vandalism has been noted, with similar reports emerging earlier in December and at the end of November.
"This is not only frightening for the occupants, it is also resulting in considerable repair costs to the owners," a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police commented, highlighting the impact of these acts on the community.
The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or has information regarding the suspects to come forward. They are particularly interested in any footage that may have been captured by private doorbell cameras in the area or by motorists with dashcam recordings.
Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 12250233941. For those who wish to remain anonymous, information can also be provided to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
