 
                            North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred on North Leas Avenue in Scarborough.
The assault took place between midday and 12.15pm on Sunday 11 April 2021 and involved a man in his thirties being punched in the face by an unidentified male driver of a plain white Ford Transit van.
The victim sustained a cut to the mouth and was treated by paramedics on scene.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, they are appealing for any dash-cam footage around the time of the incident or CCTV footage from local residents, that may have captured the assault.
The suspect is described as being a white man aged approximately mid 50’s with a stocky build and around 5’6″ in height. He’s described as having short brown curly hair and a stubbly beard and was wearing dark clothing.
