The cyber bots have been reeking havoc on one of the county's websites.
AI Bots have been causing issues for East Yorkshire's Planning Portal.
Local councillors and residents have reported problems logging on to the online website which manages planning applications.
East Riding Council's Cabinet member for Planning - Councillor Leo Hammond -says the site is being swamped by requests from Artificial Intelligence Bots.
The website has been targeted by AI bots which have overloaded the site.
Cabinet Member - Councillor Leo Hammond - says the problem is the result of external companies using AI bots to scrape data from the website, he says it's a frustrating situation.
The situation has been affecting a number of local authorities across the country.
The East Yorkshire Planning website has been functioning correctly this week and a disclaimer on the site now says that
"Automated search processes or applications which are setup for automated searching will be blocked from accessing the website."
