Broadacres Housing Association is inviting the local community to view potential plans for an affordable housing development off Wellington Close in Danby on Tuesday.
The open day will be held at Danby Village Hall on Tuesday 15th October from 11am to 6:30pm.
This event follows a previous consultation held in autumn 2023, where there was significant community support for the proposed development.
The earlier event, attended by over 50 people, saw a majority of attendees back the development of the site behind Dale End for affordable housing. The feedback received at that consultation, which focused on a small development of one, two and three-bedroom bungalows, has been shared with the National Park planners and Broadacres.
Since then, more detailed plans have been developed in consultation with the NP planners and the Dawnay Estate.
Broadacres say the open day provides a valuable opportunity for residents to see these updated plans and learn more about the proposed development.
Broadacres Housing came into being around 1993 and they currently have around 6,700 properties on their books and all their schemes are aimed at developing rural housing.
