The road will be closed North of Sleights on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th March.
North Yorkshire Council say they will be carrying out urgent work in the wooded area north of Sleights on the A169 on Monday (4 March) and Tuesday (5 March).
The A169 will be closed from the junction with the B1410 to the junction with the A171 on Guisborough Road between 9am and 4pm.
A signed diversion will be in place with traffic travelling on the A171 continuing to Scarborough.
Traffic travelling from Pickering will continue into Scarborough to then travel north to Whitby.
The council say that access for local traffic will be limited during these essential works.
