 
                            There are still a significant number of people in North Yorkshire who are eligible for a COVID vaccine but have yet to have it.
Despite the number of COVID cases falling across the county health leaders in the county are still keen to ensure everyone gets vaccinated against COVID-19.
At 16 May 2021, there had been 30,185 positive tests since 3 March 2020, with 241 new cases reported in the past two weeks. The weekly rolling average of new cases is 20 cases per day.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in the county is encouraging the missing people to come forwards.
32,000 people in North Yorkshire haven't come forward for a COVID vaccine despite being eligible.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in the county says although the number of COVID cases are falling those who do contract it are still becoming seriously ill.
