The Yorkshire Coast BID will be funding the installations in rural locations.
14 Electric Vehicle charging points are going to be installed at businesses on the Yorkshire Coast as part of a project being supported by the Yorkshire Coast Bid.
Bid MD Kerry Carruthers says the idea is to ensure there is a spread of charge points across the area.
Kerry Carruthers says the charging points will be of benefit to both visitors and local people and will help the businesses involved to attract electric car users to their businesses.
The Yorkshire Coast BID say that:
"To provide the biggest benefits for our BID businesses, we are looking at installing chargers that take 2 hours to provide a 50-mile charge, encouraging users to stay for food, drinks, and overnight stays.
All costs are covered by the BID, and we plan to continue to increase our network in the future to provide more BID businesses with this excellent resource."
