A day celebrating our amazing Whitby Fossils, suitable for all ages.
Get hands on with our our fossil handling collection and bring your fossils for identification with our Whitby Museum geology curators.
Join a tour of the museum geology collection and get a sneak peek behind the scenes at our stores!
Amazing dinosaur footprints will be joining us.

Get creative with James McKay – dinosaur drawing specialist.
The Geologists Association will also be visiting – find out about their group and what they do.
Book signing and talk from Matthew Myerscough author of ‘In Search of Sea Dragons’. Ticketed event due to limited space in our library. Ticketed talk.

Dr Liam Herringshaw will be giving a closing talk after the event on the ‘Mystery of the Whitby Garlic Stones’ – Ticketed Talk

Normal admission applies, no booking necessary with the exception of talks, tickets may also be available on the day. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
