Filey Kite Festival returns to Filey Brigg Country Park this September. This free to attend event brings together spectacular kites, a variety of food stalls and fairground rides plus new for 2026- a Friday Night Flight!
Join us from 6:30 to 9pm on Friday 18th for a special evening session to see the illuminated kites take to the skies as the sun begins to set, creating the perfect atmospheric start to the weekend.
The festival then runs on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, featuring a wide variety of kites, from giant inflatable characters to beautifully crafted designs, flown by experienced kite flyers from across the UK.
There’s plenty to enjoy on the ground too with O’Briens Funfair, a selection of traders from Filey Food Festival, a learn to fly zone and a chance to make your own kite!
Parking is available at Filey Country Park (usual charges apply). Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
As an outdoor event, kite flying is weather dependent, so it’s worth checking online for updates before you visit.
